Today we went to Mino in Mosman for lunch. Mino I would say is my favourite Japanese restaurant in Sydney. The food is always of a consistently high standard. So much attention to detail and extremely fresh ingredients.
Most lunch options come with miso soup and salad. The salad is always perfect. A lightly dressed combination of lettuces leaves, alpha-alfa sprouts, cauliflower which always has a lovely bite to it, carrot and a tuna mix on the side.
Now on to the mains. We ordered the:
- Mino plate ($17)- tempura prawn and assorted vegetables, the prawn is always so fresh, succulent and piping hot. Agedashi tofu, which never fails to be delicate and silky-smooth. Baked kingfish, and sashimi pieces.
- Mino style noodles ($15). This came with two gyoza which are handmade and very juicy. The noodles had a lovely, tasty duck and seafood broth, gorgeous tender pork-belly, a just firm but yolk-runny egg, probably one of the best I have eaten.
Value for money: 9/10
