Ashfield: Three brothers

So basically, this place surprise, surprise was set up by three brothers. The one with the blue hair on the left, was the chef on the day we visited. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The lunch specials range between $10-15. The specials are on the small blackboard outside and the blackboard cleverly painted wall inside.

As soon as we sat down, we were given water (which had lovely lemon and lime mixed into it – very refreshing), and miso soup.

1FSZdY1402274463wPlTej1402274432We ordered two of the $15 black-board specials:

  • tempura prawns & vegetables, teriyaki chicken, salad, rice, salmon & vegetable sushi roll.
  • vegetable tempura, cooked spinach, salad, agedashi tofu & rice.

Both were competently cooked. No big faults to the dishes. The agedashi tofu was swimming a bit in a pool of sauce… Everything was tasty and well done. The only thing is this place doesn’t wow me as much as Mosman: Mino (lunch) (3) or Surry Hill: Suzuya.
